Bill Center started the Happy Hands meeting by giving an update on John Harper, whose application for Columbus Colony Housing was approved. Additionally, Pat Beech gave updates on Elaine Shaffer and Emily Rappold. Joe Cohen talked about Marian Epstein, who was doing well and moved back into her apartment.

Nancy Rarus explained about a drawing for turkey. We had to guess weight of the turkey in order to win. Whoever wins has to invite Nancy over.

Norma Thompson gave grace before lunch began.

After lunch, Nancy announced the winner of the Turkey Drawing. The winner of this drawing was Lois Herberger, who guessed 10.85 pounds. The actual weight was 10.25 pounds. The next best guess was Kay Francis Rose who had 11.5 pounds.  The 3rd and 4th guesses were a tie - Jerry Pelarski and Bruce Franks, who guessed 11.6 pounds.

We played three games. The game coordinators were Lois Herberger and Nancy Rarus.

First was Puzzle Game. Each of the 4 tables had a picture. We were given pieces, and we had to find tables that the pieces best fitted.

The second game was called “Big Word, Small Words.” The Big Word was “Happy Thanksgiving.”

The third game was Thanksgiving Word Scramble. We didn’t have time to do this game.

The Raffle winners were: Thayer Dow ($25) and Carolyn Willis ($16).
